ABVKY Claims based on Scanned Documents without Affidavit

Govt. approves online submission of claims under Atal Beemit Vyakti Kalyan Yojana (ABVKY) of ESIC, using scanned copies of documents, i.e. the requirement of submission of claim under Affidavit is not applicable any more.

It may be noted that earlier the ESIC had extended the Scheme from 1st July 2020 to 30th June 2021. Also it was decided to enhance the relief rate under the scheme from present 25% to 50% of average daily earning along with relaxation of eligibility conditions during the period 24th March 2020 to 31st Dec. 2020 to provide assistance to workers facing unemployment due to COVID-19 Pandemic.

Subsequently, it has been observed that requirement of submitting the claim in Affidavit Form is causing inconvenience to claimants/ beneficiaries. Therefore, Govt. has decided to allow online claims under Atal Beemit Vyakti Kalyan Yojana, where claimants have uploaded the scanned documents (Aadhar, etc.), i.e. no need to submit physical claim form under affidavit, as required earlier. In other words the condition for submitting the claim in Affidavit Form has been dispensed with for convenience of claimants.

In case the documents were not uploaded at the time of online filing of the claim, the claimant can submit the printout of the claim duly signed along with the required documents.
