ICAI Scholarship of minimum Rs. 18,000 p.a. is provided to CA Intermediate/ Final Students under four ‘need based’ and ‘merit based’ categories. Online application for getting ICAI Scholarship can be submitted anytime at SSP Portal, i.e. without any deadline. Summary of the four categories of ICAI Scholarship Scheme 2021-22 is as under:
A. CA Intermediate Students of Economically Weaker Section: Rs. 1500 p.m. (Need based)
i) For Students registered in Intermediate Course through Foundation or Direct Entry Route;
ii) Annual Income of Parents/ Guardian should not exceed Rs. 3,00,000;
iii) Scholarship available for 9 months from the month following the registration month;
iv) Additional 3 months scholarship is available if the Student has completed Orientation/ IT Course within first 9 months of registration;
v) Further Additional 3 months scholarship is available if the Student has cleared any Group of Intermediate Exam within 12 months of registration. However, the Students who have passed both groups can apply in the category of scholarship for CA Final Student.
B. CA Final Students of Economically Weaker Section: Rs. 1500 p.m. (Need based)
i) For Students registered in Final Course;
ii) Annual Income of Parents/ Guardian should not exceed Rs. 3,00,000;
iii) Scholarship available for 30 months or remaining period of Articleship, whichever is less.
C. CA Final Students of Economically Weaker Section: Rs. 2000 p.m. (Merit and Need based)
i) For Students registered in Final Course;
ii) Student must be 11th to 50th Rank holder of Intermediate Examination (i.e. not covered under category D. Merit Scholarship).
iii) Scholarship available for 30 months or remaining period of Articleship, whichever is less.
D. CA Final Students: Rs. 2500 p.m. (Merit based)
i) For Students registered in Final Course;
ii) Student must be 1st to 10th Rank holder of Intermediate Examination;
iii) Scholarship available for 30 months or remaining period of Articleship, whichever is less.

ICAI Commerce Wizard Scholarship Scheme for the Wards of Military/ Para Military/ Railways Personnel
ICAI has also announced a scholarship scheme (2018 to 2022) for 75 meritorious students having Military, Para Military or Railways background, to salute and support those dedicated citizens who serve and secure the Independence and Sovereignty of our Country.
This Scheme targets to promote commerce education, specially CA course, among students undergoing their Secondary, Senior/ Higher Secondary, Graduation, Post graduation courses. This scholarship entitles the students to get 50% waiver/ concession in the CA course fee, at the time of registration for CA Foundation, CA Intermediate and CA Final Courses.
Effectively the Scholarship scheme is only for students who wish to pursue CA course in future and the awardees are shortlisted based on merit rank in the ICAI Commerce Wizard Test.
Out of 75 scholarships under the Scheme, 2/3rd (50) will be allocated for the wards of Military personnel, i.e. India Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force & Para Military Forces (Indian Coast Guard, Assam Rifles, Special Frontier Force, Central Reserve Police Force, Border Security Force, Indo-Tibetan Border Police, Sashastra Seema Bal, Central Industrial Security Force, National Security Guard, Special Protection Group, etc.) and 1/3rd (25) will be allocated for the wards of Railways personnel, including the retired personnel from Military/ Para-military/ Railways.

In the case of Final students, Scholarship shall be paid for a maximum period of 30 months or balance period of their Articleship, whichever is less. You completed your articles and hence you are not eligible to get scholarship.

ICAI will send an email if you are selected.
