GPF Interest Rates, for the period from 1st October to 31st December 2020 have been notified by the MoF (GOI) at 7.1%, i.e. no change as compared to last quarter (July ~ September 2020), applicable in respect of accumulations of Government Employees in the General Provident Fund and other similar funds.
In the case of following funds, the revised GPF Interest Rate is applicable for the said period:
i) The General Provident Fund (Central Services);
ii) The Contributory Provident Fund (India);
iii) The All India Services Provident Fund;
iv) The State Railway Provident Fund
v) The General Provident Fund (Defence Services);
vi) The Indian Ordnance Department Provident Fund;
vii) The Indian Ordnance Factories Workmen’s Provident Fund;
viii) The Indian Naval Dockyard Workmen‘s Provident Fund;
ix) The Defence Services Officers Provident Fund; and
x) The Armed Forces Personnel Provident Fund.

F. No. 5(2) B(PD)/2020.- It is hereby notified that the deposits made under the Special Deposit Scheme for Non-Government Provident, Superannuation and Gratuity Funds, announced in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Economic Affairs) Notification No.F.16(1)-PD/75 dated 30th June, 1975, shall with effect from 1st October, 2020 to 31st December, 2020 bear interest at 7.1% (seven point one percent). This rate will be in force w.e.f. 1st October, 2020.
