Revised ICAI Membership/ COP Fee (FY 2023-24): Last Date 31/10/2023

ICAI’s Annual Membership/ COP Fee applicable for Financial Year 2023-24 payable by Members as per revised fee structure. The due date has been extended from 30/09/2023 to 31/10/2023 vide ICAI Announcement dated 30/09/2023:

Besides, other applicable fees for ICAI Members are as under:

It may be noted that ICAI is promoting ‘I GO GREEN with ICAI’ scheme, under which Member can opt for e-journal and get a discount of Rs 590 (including 18% GST) on total amount of Membership Fees. However, in the case of Members staying abroad, AirMail charges payable for CA Journal are Rs 2,478/- including GST (not applicable if member opts for e-journal).

Revised ICAI Membership/ COP Fee (FY 2023-24): Last Date 31/10/2023Also that revised fee scales for all Members in practice are the same, i.e. now there is no differentiation of fee based on age for members holding COP, like which was prevalent till 2016-17. However, for those who are not in practice, concessional membership fee is applicable, if he/ she has attained age of 60 years and above as on 1 April of respective Financial Year, i.e. as on 01/04/2023 for FY 2023-24.

Procedure for Payment of Annual Membership/ COP Fees of Partner by the Firm

ICAI has prescribed the procedure to be followed for Payment of Annual Membership/ COP Fees which is payable in respect of a Partner by the Firm, as under:

First, the Partner has to give consent for payment of fees by the Firm through his login on SSP. Click “Pay Now/ Give consent” > Select Yes (see screenshot) > Select Firm > select Journal Type > Check details > select “I agree” > Submit.

After that HI (Head Incharge) of the Firm will login to his account on SSP > will click “Firm Function” > will click “ICAI Bulk Renewal Form for HI” > will click on “Bulk Renewal Form” > will select FRN > select check box “Make payment for Partners” > Click “Proceed” > Details of the Partners who have provided their consent will appear > Proceed and make payment.

Online Payment of Fee at Self-Service Portal (SSP)

Advance Payment of Membership Fee for 10 years

ICAI provides an option to pay advance Membership/ COP fee for 10 years along with GST as a final payment and in case of any shortfall owing to revision of fee in future; their Name/ COP will not be removed from the register of members on account of such revision.

Further, Members may also note that in case the advance fees has been paid in the past, the balance fees/ difference of the fee becomes payable in the current financial year. In other words payment of balance fee/ difference in fee is a must for renewal of membership/ certificate of practice, as the case may be.

It may be noted that an ACA who has paid advance membership fee for a period not exceeding 10 years and at a later stage opt for FCA status then the member is required to pay difference fee (the difference of fee in conversion from ACA to FCA and Fellow Member Admission Fee) for the remaining period.
